Michigan probe Technologies offers a variety of microscale neural probes. Michigan probes have the following advantages over conventional microelectrodes.

• The penetrating shanks are about the size of a microwire electrodes, but each shank has multiple, precisely placed recording and /or stimulation sites.  Small penetrating shanks that result in minimal displacement of the neural tissue.

       Multiple parallel shanks, each having multiple sites to provide precise 2D sampling of the neural target
